In Amboseli, in the south of Kenya, the Maasai women learn to build clean cooking stoves designed by their neighbours from Tanzania. A chimney attached to the stoves pushes the smoke outside the huts. The new stoves cook fast and use less firewood. No more running noses and watery eyes for the Maasai kids and less long walks for firewood for the women. http://www.africanslumjournal.com
